Technology and Training, and E learning 2.0
The technology of Training chapter discussed the need of new training methods based on evolving archetypes of technology training methods due to the inadequacies and losses in revenue build for technology based companies. The Ideals presented covered: Ineffective training and the direct and indirect losses of revenue, training methods that are clear effective and evolutionary, the tools available for the technology training, and a model archetype for the training methods. Indeed it is a concern that the technology workforce as it is today is getting older and less experienced as new technologies are breaking forth. Soon these workers will be retired and their knowledge will be veiled leaving a new generation of workers with little training. It is also a concern that the typical training methods of todays societies such as class room settings and instructional methods like read and test could be ineffective popular trends of teaching methodology. Who has stood up against the general methods of instruction since roman times... no one! I thought the idea of evolutionary training methods quite proper since technology is continuously evolving as well. However I do not know for sure weather the archetype instructional method displayed in this chapter would constitute the Ideal evolutionary training; that I think could only be found through trial and error. Thus propels the idea of an evolutionary process of training. The Learning 2.0 Chapter discussed the newest types of tools that have helped the evolution of learning reach the point that it is at today. No longer are the Ideals and philosophies of the past distributed to 30 or 4o students in a class room but through the media tools of the internet, network based teaching has entered limitless bounds. Through blogging, podcasting, widgi webbing, skype and other media net based tools, people can share information to millions in seconds. The technological advances of todays society propel us beyond the 1 point systematic methodology of training and teaching. The tools of webcasting and social networking along with virtual worlds of learning catastrophically excel the information and training accessible in todays world. That is learning 2.0!
